I don't know but I guarantee at least some dealer-order Maverick's won't have hitches.
It wasn't in this thread, but this all stemmed from a guy that bought a Maverick without a hitch.
That's really interesting. I wonder what the installation looks like for aftermarket.
Hopefully you don't have to remove the rear bumper to slide those arms in.
Good luck @Tman

Would one of you be able to take a picture of how the receiver mounts to the subframe? Do the bolts run into a threaded hole or does it look like we have to fish bolts through the subframe rail?
Thanks
I'm sure all of us keyboard warriors will be able to diagnose the issue with a picture of @jonbok 's dashboard or if he does a hand calc.
There's obviously a problem with his truck regardless. Given the past couple vehicle rollouts that Ford has done, the fact that it's only one truck so far is...
I gladly would. My wife's Rogue, which uses 225/65r17, is about due for new tires. Perfect timing.
Except that I ordered my Maverick on 9/28, so probably won't be any attempts until next spring...if things go right.
I'm curious if a 235/70 or 235/75 fits. The 245/65 is slightly wider so you might have the space to fit a narrower, taller tire. I would be shocked if the 235/70 didn't fit.
The 235/75 is a lot. From pics, I doubt it would fit without a lift.
In the Bronco Sport and Escape you have to fish the bolts through the frame rails. My guess is there are 3 to 4 unthreaded holes near the rear edge of the frame rail with some larger hole closer to the front for fishing the bolts through.
I wonder if you can just swap the rear end from a Bronco Sport with the dual clutch in?
I can't find a good source for the Bronco Sport's gear ratio. Maybe 3.8?
Maybe they are waiting to make a Maverick Timberline
All of this really depends on the competence of the Ford AWD system. Some manufactures' AWD systems better move power with the brakes (as Wire4money mentions) than others. There are FWD cars that can have a mechanical limited slip installed, but I doubt someone will make one for the Maverick...
A quick glance at 235/70 shows 108T - 111T and 235/75 shows 109T.
Skinnier tires are more likely to fit without rubbing and 235/75 on the Mav would get you to 9.5" of ground clearance. Some of the A/T tires are only 33 lbs.
Congrats. I really like the look the of Cactus Gray.
Out curiosity, I also have a Rogue.
How would you compare space, materials, etc of the Rogue vs the Maverick?
I just ordered my CG XLT/2.0/AWD from Awesome Ford.
Haven't even set foot in the dealership.
No deposit and no requirement to buy even when it arrives.
