I wish I knew what changed their mind, and it's been awhile, but basically I went in, started the paper work, didn't see the rebate and asked about it.
The manger said she didn't see any rebate associated with my order, and would have to call the district manager to find out what was wrong, but...
Oddly, when it came to this, I found the dealer knew as much as someone who had only heard of the maverick. I knew far more then they did on the matter, and despite emails back and forth regarding the rebate months before picking up my truck, I still had to fight them the day I picked it up to...
Woohoo! It finally came true, scheduled! I was part of the FWD to AWD F-up.

This is what I am worried about too, it just sucks because the way the auto market is right now, it's not like there are any better deals out there. Don't get me wrong, I am going to fight to get promised discount, but not giving up my truck over it.
Awesome, congrats! Glad to see it's possible to get scheduled with the change order. We got pretty much the same setup which makes me question what's going on with mine. I honestly think it's got something to do with my dealer, they don't seem too bright.
I got an XLT 2.0T FWD w 4K tow and tech package originally. I got the confirmation, but I never got an order #. Just the generic, we received your order email from ford. I think they have it figured out now, but man my dealer is bad at communication lol.
So after some pressure, I got the response
"That is a rebate that will be applied at delivery. The price stays the same and rebate will come off the bottom line."
So I guess I will see it when I get the truck, but at least I have it in writing.
I am currently in a back in forth with my dealer who is basically trying to refuse me the free upgrade. I placed my order 6/18, still no order # or vin. Will keep you posted on the outcome. I just cut and paste the offer verbatim.
Hey everyone,
I'm curious if anyone with the 4k 2.0L FWD issue has had their dealer upgrade them to AWD and had a confirmed production date.
My dealer has been playing the I'll have info for you tomorrow game for a few weeks now and I'm starting to get frustrated. I have my order confirmation...
