Thanks for starting this thread and sharing. I took a little different approach. I wanted to leave the drain holes open in the front and put the 'jigsaw' cuts over a rib. A downside to this may be access to the rear side doors. The pad is dented & stained, but seems to be holding up well.

If you know your order # and VIN, you can try the site: https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking It seems to work about 10% of the time. It seems to help if you set up an account and add your VIN to your vehicles (but that may be just 'black magic').

Great detailed analysis. Thanks! FYI: Our 2021 KIA Niro also has an 'optimistic' dashboard MPG estimate. Over several fillups (5,000 miles) it averaged 8% high (assuming the odometer is correct). My Maverick was shown in production this last week. Cannot wait to get it!
