Take out the passenger seat?
Am I the only one who immediately thought of Ted Bundy? He pulled the passenger seat out of his VW bug to make it easier to kidnap his victims. I'll never see a car missing its passenger seat without thinking of him.
My 2025 Maverick is the third hybrid vehicle my wife and I have owned. We also have a Honda CRV hybrid and recently gave our daughter our old Toyota Camry hybrid. I guess I'm not scared of hybrids.
Yeah, I thought it worked out well. I would not have chosen a red vehicle if I were ordering one, but I do like it.
FWIW, the dealer said they had another truck like mine coming in within a few days so it's possible the other buyer didn't even know what happened. My dealer was in the process...
On a whim I stopped into the local Ford dealer on the last Saturday of August to "just look" at Mavericks. The dealer's finance manager saw me wandering around the lot and decided to step in and try to help. I started looking at a base model XL and he gave me the key and told me to take it home...
As do I. Honestly, I'll be shocked if the Slate truck is ever available for purchase, but if it is I want to be in the queue. Can't say I'm enthusiastic about owning one at this point but I imagine they will be a hot ticket item for a while.
What the heck am I going to do on the side of the road with a few tools? Who am I kidding?
I long ago came to the realization that there's hardly anything on a modern vehicle I would know how to fix (or even access).
