Got the cheap one and have not had it bind. I did however need the hook that was removed to replace with the hydraulic arm. I made do though. The tailgate hydraulic arm/strut does feel a little cheap, but so far so good.
I can confirm the truck sat for at least 8hrs since I didn't pick it up immediately, waited until next day. Good thing I waited though...Don't think they left anything hooked up.
Dealership got my battery replaced. Tested the one I had and it tested bad, failed the test. Replaced with a Ford Motorcraft AGM (BAGM-H4). They performed the BMS reset and no issues persisted. I'll see how things go from now on. Also got my windshield ding repaired after it happening on the way...
With that sort of damage, hope so...likely will not ever be the same. I had a rattle in my Focus ST for the longest time after the rear passenger door was replaced. I thought maybe a tech left a screw driver in there or some a bolt. Oddly I think it eventually went away or I learned to ignore...
Bro I love the pushbutton! Looks clean. This is the reason why I didn't go with fog lights from diodedynamics; the button was stick on and didn't look stock.
Crazy just now finding this thread and seeing 34 pages and having this same issue. I have had no idea why this weird rattle was showing up and how, what caused it. It's been annoying me but I just put the music up loud enough to ignore. Cheap plastic I guess?
I wonder if anyone else has had it show this but my short 6-7 minute commute home one morning my dash showed my mpg was 999.9. I found that pretty funny. My first tank or 2 trip computer said I got 45-46mpg average, although I never did the pump calculation.
I've had the truck since last July...
Finally got this forum to post images...I guess it doesn't work with Brave browser.
I do believe this is the original battery, but with all the warranty work due to recalls, I don't really know. Tempted to just try the AGM battery. Just drove the truck around for an hour or so, not sure it...
Carvana does.
I've sold 3 vehicles in a matter of 3-4 years and they've done good by me. Just checked, I'm upside down only 770$ if I were to sell it to them. Not too bad, although weighing whether it is worth it. Rather annoying predicament to be in again.
Sounds like this truck isn't going to work for me with my 6 minute commute to work. I figured I'd save so much in gas, and so far I have coming from a 2020 F250 7.3 Tremor, but this battery drain thing is going to be a lingering issue. Had I known, I likely would've gotten the 2.0 turbo.
This should have been required reading before buying the Maverick Hybrid...sigh...been having this issue for the last few months. I do appreciate all the work many of y'all have put in and experiences and knowledge y'all have put out.
This is all very disconcerting...got my truck througha used Toyota dealership and it was in the shop for recalls when I first tried fo look at it. As of now mine has no open recalls and no shaking.
Is there no aftermarket support that alleviates this issue once and for all?
Super cool write up, always love the BBK writeups. Thank you. New here to the world of Maverick and hybrid too actually. I'm curious as to why upgrade this on a hybrid, I guess it's the same as if the upgrading 2.0 ecoboost. Any issue with brake bias, or other noticeable issues?
