I have one, it's full of crap. Guess what a I would fill the second one with given the chance? But hey, the table saw, miter saw, compressors, tools, etc stayed dry!
Yeah, I may have overreacted but I wanted to get a tender on it ASAP after spending months here reading horror stories about the deep sleep issue. The tender doesn't do much diagnostics but it did indicate that the battery was below 25% of what it considers fully charged. By night, it was at 75%...
For the first time, I received a notice that my 2024 Maverick had entered deep sleep mode so I threw a battery tender in the engine compartment to let it charge up the battery. As it happened, it snowed that evening and I was greeted with about 5" of crusted on snow in the morning. Even after...
Let me know how you made out with the water test. I think I am getting water infiltrating into the aluminum frames that surround each panel but I just noticed the issue so I'm not sure at this point. Gonna have to find a way to test the frames without getting water on the side rails to see if it...
@710-oil-614 : About 20 hours earlier. I will keep an eye to see if it is related to the AC.
@Gray Goose : There was quite a lot of water in just that area. Tapping on the cover caused it to shed water like I was emptying a cup. An hour later it was completely dry.
About 8 hours after a thunderstorm I noticed water dripping from the under cover mounted to the chassis on the passenger side. I'm surprised to see that the under cover holds water for so long and worried about long term rust damage. I'm also trying to figure out how the water got there. This...
I found this one the web. It's a 2024 Maverick with a BAK MX4ts but it appears to be a completely different rail. This rail doesn't come anywhere near the radius of the plastic it sits on.:
My install (on a 2024) looks very like your photo where the rails lifts a small amount but only at the tailgate end. It may be lifting a bit at the bulkhead as well, but you can't get the right angle to see. It does fit flat along most of it's length though. For me, new end caps that are shaped...
@Carth @rk06382 I see what you are describing and agree that the rails don't quite conform to the the radius of the plastic they sit on at the ends.
One thing I had trouble with was not installing the clamps into the tonneau rail correctly. They need to be pushed hard into the rail until they...
Can you post pictures? I know you tried earlier but it would probably help me understand what's going on. Either you got bad parts or the bed is different.
It arrived yesterday and I installed it today. Everything went smoothly. I made a few mistakes but they only cost me a little time. It was 95F today so everything was super hot to touch!
I have the trash can as well. It was a perfect fit until I added a floor mat to the back. the Can still works, but the mat raised it so that it no longer fully seats into the FITS mount. Absolutely not Mabett's fault but something to consider.
I ordered this May 30th and have yet to receive it. It direct ships from BAKFlip and Realtruck's customer service is looking into why BAKFlip hasn't shipped yet. Hopefully this thread means that they are now available and I will get mine soon. I will update here as I learn more.
Edit: Amber at...
Quick aside: It also off gasses for a long long time (if not forever). We built a clean room facility for Martin Marietta to later build a satellite and the one sealant we were not allowed to use was silicone do to contamination concerns.
Just installed a tailgate soft open kit and just unbolting the lug that holds the tailgate cable to the body was enough to put a hairline crack in that vertical seam. I imagine building a truck with a 4 cylinder engine required some concessions regarding sheet metal thickness. Hate to see it on...
