  1. Dealership Changing Price After Deposit - what to do?

I have both good news and bad news. The bad news first. You did not have a contract for purchase; you had an offer to sell—big difference. The Contract would give you clear rights, and their actions to change the price would be considered a breach of the contract. With the Offer to Sell, what...
  2. Side Marker Lights Giveaway: One Month In – What Accessories Have You Added to Your Maverick? 🚙✨

This month I bought a trash can/cup holder for rear seat. Next month's plan is the Mabett organizers.
  3. 2025 2.0 Eco won't start, runs poorly, and dealer is keeping now over 2 weeks for "diagnostics."

UPDATE -- TRUCK IS HOME! Finally, after 9 weeks, the TRUCK is HOME! Apple Ford of Danville was the dealer that finally located the problem and fixed it. Along the way, they replaced a dozen parts to get everything taken care of. It seems that one issue leads to another and another. In total...
  4. 2025 2.0 Eco won't start, runs poorly, and dealer is keeping now over 2 weeks for "diagnostics."

You know, Dalola, I've been somewhat laid-back on this primarily because of the loaner. It's a really nice Bronco Sport. I haven't checked all the details, but if it has a 4000 lb towing package, I'm considering just swapping them if they can't fix the Maverick. I paid cash for all but the last...
  5. 2025 2.0 Eco won't start, runs poorly, and dealer is keeping now over 2 weeks for "diagnostics."

It is Wednesday, 7/9/25, and I have now been without my truck for almost two months. I bought the truck in the second week in April, and took a trip to see one of my sons who is on faculty at Dartmouth (New Hampshire). The trip went well, except in the last 2 days, when I noticed trouble...
  6. 2025 2.0 Eco won't start, runs poorly, and dealer is keeping now over 2 weeks for "diagnostics."

Some GOOD News ... Apple Ford, Danville, VA, is where I bought the truck. I live 34 miles from them. I have a dealer less than 2 miles from my house, but when I bought they did not have what I want. Apple Ford did, so they got the sale. When it came to the starting/running problem, I figured...
  7. 2025 2.0 Eco won't start, runs poorly, and dealer is keeping now over 2 weeks for "diagnostics."

Quick update on the saga ... when I dropped the Maverick off 16 days ago it had 1914 miles on it. The service tech drove it from the parking lot to the storage lot. She experienced the non-start and rough running that I was complaining of. Yesterday, after being so dang frustrated that nothing...
  8. Father’s Day at Mom’s house

The fact she is 88 and drives a Maverick tells me that she is a bit of a maverick herself. Enjoy the relationship with a vibrant person with good taste in trucks.

Called Apple Ford, where I bought he truck, and was booked for service appointment late Wednesday. The fellow I spoke with said they could have diagnostice done by Friday, noon, at the latest. I told them everything I've mentoned here and he told me of six different things they'd do before they...
  10. 1 Week Review of the Flowkottu retractable tonneau cover on the 2025 Maverick

The truck has been in the shop for 2 weeks now, so when I get it back I'll try to take some good pictures for you.
  11. 2025 2.0 Eco won't start, runs poorly, and dealer is keeping now over 2 weeks for "diagnostics."

I was recently told this by two other fellows who do the work. Both said the have "wall jobs" which means they park the vehicle by the wall and work on it as time allows. A busy day ... too bad ... you minor problem waits. That doesn't sound like good customer care to me.
  12. 2025 2.0 Eco won't start, runs poorly, and dealer is keeping now over 2 weeks for "diagnostics."

i am in Martinsville, but bought from Apple Ford in Danville. They had what I wanted and the local sotre didn't. Now I'm second guessing if I also shouldn't have gone back to Apple for service even though it is 30 miles away. I guess I'll know if they still haven't donea diagnosis by next week.
  13. 2025 2.0 Eco won't start, runs poorly, and dealer is keeping now over 2 weeks for "diagnostics."

Thanks so far to everyone that has replied or offered helpful insights. I appreciate evey effort. I spoke with a Ford mechanic from amother dealer, and he says that the time for diagnostics is a bit long. They try to have the diagnositce work done within two business days; otherwise, customers...

Hmm ... I hadn't considered a rodent problem, but I assume the techs at the dealership would look at that fairly early. I know they did a battery check first—that was the first day—and then it sat for four days with nothing done. On day 5, according to the service writer, the tech started it...
  15. 2025 2.0 Eco won't start, runs poorly, and dealer is keeping now over 2 weeks for "diagnostics."

Thanks. I am also hopeful, and must say that my experience with Ford would lead me to believe they will figure it out.
  16. 2025 2.0 Eco won't start, runs poorly, and dealer is keeping now over 2 weeks for "diagnostics."

I didn't say it was "funny," I said it was interesting ... and it is interesting because the same computer system that is tapped into for the diagnostics doesn't appear to be programmed to record the data for later retrieval. Just seem interesting to me that something that can record all the...

Interestingly, the computer has recorded every instance of this happening, but for some reason, it doesn't report what is wrong to begin with. It might be nice if their warranty also included paying your monthly payment while they try to figure out what is covered by the warranty. LOL.
