So you’re the one person that thinks Carlos Tavares was worth the money up until he screwed up because Stellantis sold a lot of cars even before he got there.
The executives have to eat too. The CEO of State Farm Michael Tipsord, took in $24.4M in 2022. He was just ahead of the CEO of the CEO of Travelers who took in $20MM and the CEO of Allstate who took in almost $19M. Liberty Mutual is 4th with over $15M.
It depends on the vehicle. In years past the strut towers used to be between the firewall and wheel well and would flex like crazy so a front strut bar provided a noticeable difference.
With most modern cars the manufacturers have tucked the strut towers right against the firewall and side of...
Has any company come up with a license plate mount for those of us who will probably never tow with the Maverick it would help my OCD to have the license plate centered in the rear.
No one said 20-50% over factory but there are tons of engines down through history that have way more headroom than you’re thinking. Typically factory supercharged or turbocharged cars have a ton of headroom built in such as the B58 or the 2JZ. The Coyote, despite being designed for NA holds up...
Just not always true with a boosted engines. I’ve seen plenty of tunes that were the same as stock until the upper rpm’s but added 4lbs of boost up top for more horsepower. If you stay out of full throttle the vehicle runs the exact same as stock.
The factory also has to make the tune idiot...
I don’t know WTF you’re talking about. A lot of people modify their cars and 90% of the time they are driven the same as stock. Then sometimes they want to have some fun so they have more power = more fun. Who said anything about bitching because something breaks.
Let’s be real anyhow. We...
No it’s not. If you drive it like it was when stock you get the same mileage and when you want to romp on it to have a bunch of fun you have that too.
For sure. It’s very common on cars not build for forced induction and then someone throws a supercharger on it. The ring gap is set for NA for mileage and emissions and when it gets too hot pop goes the piston. Hemi 392’s are known for it.
It’s toasted for sure. It looks like a big section of piston chunked off above and below the ring which usually means the rings got heated up and expanded pushing against each other with no where to go. That ends up putting tremendous pressure on the piston and will break a chunk off.
It...
