Does the rear electric motor need current, which would be provided via a cable? Does the rear electric motor directly connect to a mechanical drive shaft/pumpkin? I don't know.

I have discovered (online research) that my concerns should be associated with/to AWD Maverick Hybrids and not FWD models. I never have worried about HWY MPG. It will be what it will be.

I got a 2500 mile trip to take, this Spring and my Hybrid only gets 32 mpg HWY. My biggest concern is the electric motors never cooling down, causing premature wear.
