Call your dealer and get the email address and phone number for their ford rep. Calmly but firmly explain to him the situation and your dissatisfaction and how the original axle issues are a known problem. Which he will already know about. They have a lot more leeway.
No, I'm going to take it back to the dealer and make them take the lo jack out and find the original obd port. Go from there. It's only got 500 miles on it.
I have since figured out that is an installed lo jack device that nobody bothered to tell me about. I still have not found the original obd2 plug in. But I really appreciate your willingness to take pics and help.
That harness must be higher up in the dash. I guess I may be forces to unbolt the obd port and see if I can see up in there. I really appreciate that effort.
Correct. It's just a lariat. I called the dealer parts department and they cross referenced the number on the box coming from the port and said its is the smart data link. That it is factory installed. and they sent me this attached google screenshot.
Update: Think I got it figured out. I really appreciate everyone's input.
