  1. Swinging tool box

FYI: I have a swinging tool box mounted in the bed of my truck. I went to HD to get a sheet of plywood. I took the box out. Supposedly you can lower the tail gate to haul plywood. The problem is that the mounts for the tool box are higher than the tail gate and so the plywood doesn't sit flat.
  2. Tonneau Covers

Just curious as to what sort of MPG increase (if any) people are seeing after installing a cover on their bed.
  3. Trailer hitch receiver

I am curious, if the receiver is just welded on to the crash bar, why doesn't Ford just offer the receiver itself without the new crash bar? For that matter it appears as though the receiver has holes in it for bolts to go thru, so why can't the existing crash bar just be drilled thru and a...
  4. Cracked windshield glass

On my road trip I got a chip in my windshield that I had not noticed. When I got home the windshield began to crack. I called my insurance company. They made an appointment for next week. The repair company (Safelite) just sent me an email saying that they may not have a windshield by then due...
  5. Road trip review

I just got back from a two week road trip in my 2.0 ECO/AWD/ XL. I traveled over 2100 miles from Columbus, OH and back. Along the way I stopped in Mooresville, NC. Metter GA, Tallahassee, Fla, Pensacola, Fla, Birmimgham, AL and Bardstown, Ky. The trip was probably around half on the Interstate...
  6. Swinging tool box

I installed the driver side one today. Installation was relatively straight forward. However, there was one step that could have been completed far easier with little effort by Ford. You needed to drill the cubbie bezel. twice. Once with a 1/4 inch bit and then with a 9/16 inch bit. They could...

  8. Pic request: how tow hitch receiver is bolted onto the bumper/frame?

Can anybody post a pic of how their receiver is bolted onto the bumper/frame?
  9. Receiver for hitch

My truck did not come with the receiver. I looked at the Ford Accessories and they have one for $295. It says no drilling or welding required and says it uses existing holes to install. But from looking at the underside of my truck, there aren't any holes to bolt in to. Does anybody know how...
  10. Got My New Maverick!

Different dealer from the one I ordered from called today to say they had one in stock. XL in Iconic Silver with 2.0 Eco Boost in AWD with 100A trim package. I had ordered a hybrid but fell in love with this one. It doesn't get as good of MPG as the hybrid but I'll just need to live with it LOL...
