Damn you went hard! I can confirm - my universal DIY pads install is not quite as hot as the OEM pads. It’s just as hot as most OEM pads but Ford seat heaters get crazy hot. Insane project.
I would also choose the lightest / lowest rolling resistance of the three. If efficiency is a factor but you still want the larger diameter, I would also look into a narrower upgrade (“pizza cutter”) as it will be lighter and have a narrower wind resistance profile. Not sure about sizes...
As @Sovande said, I’ve personally found raising the front edge for better thigh support is very helpful. If the washers approach doesn’t give enough angle, there is a product out there (seat jackers) that include the hardware to raise even further. I ended up DIYing something similar.
As far as...
I had the same initial perception: sounds like a distant emergency vehicle siren. There’s one other noise that occurs when it’s shut off that sounds like a really staticky muffled push to talk radio transmission.
Anyways, like you, I found them annoying at first. But even without the radio on...
Glad you like the truck. Trouble asking the neighbor to park differently? Sunk cost at this point but cheaper to have a conversation then buy a new car.
Depends exactly where in the seat bottom; could be a couple of things.
Broken hog ring (pretty unlikely with normal use)
Upholstery plastic track could have popped out the channel (req above to occur)
Upholstery partially folded under itself (it's pretty taut from factory, seems unlikely)...
It is implied but to confirm: can you remove that under dash panel with trim tools without disassembling other parts of the dash? I am looking to use the same location for a switch. Any advice on popping it out? From the tabs in your picture it looks like it pulls straight out (towards center...
I'd like to buy (or trade for black XL version) the Grabber Blue center console tray liner (phone holder) from a 2025 XLT.
Will pay shipping.
For buy, looking for $40 + shipping OBO. For a trade, willing to add a little cash on top.
Shot in the dark, but would like to at least try to find...
Slightly off topic but wondering if anybody has seen model(s) the dashboard tray inserts (orange/blue bits on XLTs). Haven't turned up any with forum search.
Not an expert; but for anyone printing I'd check the temperature tolerance(s) of the filament. Worst case is probably warping / discoloring though not damage to the vehicle.
If it's similar to my timing (which also felt very delayed), I think yours will be built soon.
Scheduled week of: 12/16
In production: 1/8
Built: 1/14

To be specific, you can find the trim where it was before near the side view mirrors.
There is a badge made for late model Escapes that says Hybrid AWD you could stick on if you want to flaunt it.
Your build configuration is in your VIN so no dealer will be able to (honestly) claim they don’t...
