it is in America, it took the Japanese the entire decade of the 1970's to finally figure that out. By the 80's it was all over and they have been the tops ever since. They were building for their average size of 5'6 over there.
The woman in America average 5'7 alone, without heels. :)
Johnny, sadly there are enough idiots out here who will pay it. Which in turn hurts all the rest of us.
The manufactures run in fear of the dealerships, they are just happy somebody has the money for a franchise who will to buy their vehicles and service them.
They want no part of that action...
You got that right, don't sign nothing until you get a firm price commitment. Ford is on the up and up, which is why they are charging the rules, they realize the dealers will try to make bank. Try to communicate as much as you can with Ford and not the dealer, they'll tell you anything...
The dealer will hose you but it's convenient, that's the only reason to ever do it. And don't get fooled if they offer you more than you thought you would get. They'll add it in to the over all cost of your contract and it might be hard to find where they did.
Even if you find a dealership...
The Hybrid is a given, if the 2.0 gets 30 with a load that will be good. Of course only good if you can afford it. I'm somewhat amazed when I see an F-150 grocery shopping and that's about the extent of most of them out here, like 4 wheel drive that never leaves the asphalt. :)
@bgn,
I hear ya, I'm operating on a shoestring and can't run the risk. Last turbo I had crapped out at 27,000 miles from a manufacture who charges $25 dollars just to shake the mechanics hand.
And the only reason why I'm even interested in the Maverick is Fords brilliant's behind this...
That's the sprit, you got it right. As pointed out here you'll have the CVT to get your bonus mileage on the hwy. The beauty in all this is no Turbo or Direct Injection. Doubtful the 2.0 will last even 75,000 miles. And if it does will nickle and dime ya, until you replace that Turbo...
Unless you're hauling heavy and need the added power why waste the energy right. And yes Hybrid is mainly for city. The idling kills ya along with the stop and go. I use to average over 40 miles to the gallon and yet I lived semi mountainous at the time and average speed was between 25 and...
Doggy, you got it right, that regenerative braking plays a very minor role. The main charge comes from the gas engine, the braking deal is just an added bonus. Hybrid is truly the future, always was until the b.s. got shove down our collective throat's.
Then we discovered why as China...
You'll figure it out I'm sure as you get older, enjoy it while you can, your neck of the woods is less than 10 years away from 3 rd world status. The rest of America is already there. That grand experiment of self rule sold out on the cheap, most will die a miserable wreck in poverty...
If you go on the Ford web site you will notice they are changing how they sell their vehicles. It appears the days of dumping them off at a dealership are gone. You will have to order it from them then contact the dealer.
And my guess is the harsh realization, people simply don't have the...
Order now and hope for 2023 delivery. (seriously) Get your price locked in because the dealers will be scalping like mad on this thing. The Maverick I predict will in time become Fords all time leading seller.
Now, we get to the real point, an article out today says the government may step...
Joe, forum rules.
No politics, religion, racism or mental health intervention allowed. And believe me when I say this forum has attracted some real whack-a-moles. Complete with persecution complex's.
Those of us who want range. That's all I use it for. Some will use it to keep the engines clean but you only get that from top tier sellers, the crap at the convenient store who knows what's in it. But it truly does make a difference, I just don't like to stop that often to get gas.
For something with a payload of 1500 lbs. or tow 2000, oh yeah. And don't forget whatever the EPA numbers shake out to they will be conservative. It's done that way to play it safe from all the years the manufactures where lying through their teeth. That's how and why the EPA ever got...
A regular pillar of the community uh. :) Don't take it personnel but like most things in America them days are long gone. You'll be lucky to get a baloney sandwich on Sunday for dinner.
As they bleed you dry for every dime in insurance you may have, and if's only Medicare you might as well...
Without the hybrid you'll be lucky to even get 30 on the hwy. I average 35 + in the city alone in my 100% petrol Honda. I do run premium but only to get the range, under a 11 gallon tank I'm cruising over 424 miles.
Sadly the Honda is a dog, but what utility. With the blessings (of you...
