Although a gimick, Ford's Employee Pricing was a brilliant marketing move, which IMHO, helped to drive sales. It ends on July 7, let's see what 3 quarter looks like.
I understand a fee for BEVs, but doesn't make sense for hybrids. If you own a hybrid, your are paying gas tax and then another fee on top of that. This is just punishment to people who are trying to be more efficient. If fee passes for hybrids, I see it being repealed at some point.
Has to be the tariffs. Maverick (and Bronco Sport) have always been price sensitive, i.e., the least expensive Ford offers. The value of what you get with a Maverick and it's price is what attracted buyers. As the price increases, buyers are going to see less value and walk away.
I'm assuming that when price goes up as result of tariffs, that increase would just be included in the A-Plan price. My question is if there is any place where you can see the invoice and A-Plan including options? Or is only way to contact dealer? I had read that there's about a 2%...
From Ford's perspective, production in Mexico (Mavericks, Bronco Sports, Mach-e) will be drastically reduced. Any sales incentives will be eliminated. Prices will be raised. Doesn't look good for consumers or the auto makers.
Can the instrument cluster on the 2025 Hybrid be configured to show if the vehicle is in battery only or hybrid or regen? There was a round gauge that showed this information on previous models. I saw a video of the 2025 Hybrid and it appeared there was a vertical indicator that showed the...
Assuming Ford passes that tax on to the consumer. Ford could absorb the tax or a portion of the tax which is more likely. Ford realizes the price sensitivity of a product like the Maverick.
Has Ford indicated what mix of powertrains will be produced for 2025? It's early, but looking at various dealer sites, most are ecoboost and a few hybrid FWD are on dealer order list.
Ecoboost vs Hybrid?
Hybrid FWD vs Hybrid AWD?
I'm just curious. Both Ford and Toyota use a 2.5 Atkinson engine in the Maverick and RAV4 hybrids respectively. Combined hp in the Maverick hybrid is 191 and the RAV4 is 219. Is the 28 hp difference the result of the electric motor used by Toyota vs Ford? Or, is the 2.5 gas engine tuned...
