Has anyone tried using the trailer connector to power side marker lights?
I wonder if it is possible to locate the trailer connector wiring closer to the front of the truck and piggyback the power for the lights, turn signals, and 4 way flashers.
Could maybe redneck it and just plug the lights...
I did this on my Explorer years ago and fried the fusible link. Not sure if the same problem would happen on a new vehicle, but give how everything is run off sensors that look at mA and the computer on board hard to say. Maybe an extra battery?
Has anyone tried this bed rack on Amazon?
Brand: TKMAUTO
18.8 inch Overland Bed Rack Truck Cargo Carrier Compatible with Full-Size & MID -Size Truck
It does say it's for mid- size trucks but if it means having to cut some length and width out of the panels and cross bars, it might be a solution...
The best set up that works together that I have seen so far is from SynthicUSA. Hard roll up tonneau and bed racks with different heights. Not an Amazon special either, looks well built.
Has anyone tried looking at routing the side exit exhaust through the body. Would look cool, but the added clearance on the underbody would come in handy.
For myself at least, until there is a thoughtfully engineered front winch mount location, I may just go with a hitch mounted one, and keep it light duty.
Picked out my Azure Grey Maverick Tremor XLT off the lot in Nov' 23. Liking it a lot. Good mileage, not a comfortable as my '22 Outback Wilderness, but those are two different vehicle with two different purposes. There is a mad amount of aftermarket support for this thing, that said has anyone...
First is to get it rust proofed, then a bed rack and tonneau cover combo, some lights up front with a rear facing fog light, and upgrade the skid plates. That's year one. 😆
