I just reversed the wiring on the tweeter itself, attaching what SHOULD have been the negative cable to the positive on the tweeter, and the positive cable to the negative terminal. Fixed the phase issue right away. I have not actually removed any factory wiring as of yet, or even opened up...

Honestly I didn't really find the need to do so. I put some treatment inside from where I could reach with the driver out, and that was enough for that.

It's not in the pic, but I put foam rings in at the same time as the speakers too! It definitely helps.
