The orange notification has disappeared on its own. The only change has been a 120 mile trip I just finished. As a rehabilitated software engineer, it's not a bug...it's a feature! Appreciate those that chimed in.

Fortunately there are no active recalls as my ride just arrived a few days after the airbag notice came out. I suspect the dealership addressed it the day I picked it up which was the same day it arrived via truck. There are no new messages on that person/head icon, and I've read them all.
