Nice! I replaced a 2008 F-350 King Ranch with my 2022 Maverick. I get "ribbed" a lot from my buddies but as I tell them, "I can take a lot of "ribbing" for $60K"!
Dude! That is awesome! Love your pics! Great setup! I have fished PK since college and I’m now 55 years old. Know exactly where you were in the lake. Beautiful lake in Texas! Looks like you had a blast!!!
I don’t see it that way. There are several posts on here about weak front axle and it being a problem with the Mavericks. It’s only common sense that if you put a load on top of that it will exacerbate the issue.
I’m just posting my experience and warning that this can happen. So if you have 2 identical mavericks with weak front axles but one of them is towing 3000lbs I don’t think it’s that large a leap to assume the one towing would probably crap out first. Seems like common sense to me.
My post is a warning that this could happen. It happened to me. I love that there are other great towing experiences with the Maverick. I’ve liked every other aspect of mine. Just had a bad experience at the beginning of a long 5 day trip and want others to beware.
Glad you have had no problems. I’ve had the boots replaced once after they started leaking and then the axle replaced just last week on this trip I took from San Antonio area to Colorado.
AWD with tow package. Not sure what else I have to say. I was towing a 3000lb camper dry and the Maverick started pulling to the right little as if I had a flat. I pulled over, got out and the driver front wheel well was smoking. It was the grease from the bearings being thrown out and the...
Be careful out there when towing. I have a 2022 2.0L. I towed a 3000 lb camper about 300 miles then had to be towed. I think the engine can handle it just fine but its front legs cannot. Had to get a whole new front axle!
