I did exactly the same thing as you. I ordered the same lights and the same switch. Pretty easy install. I didn't cut the switch off the lights. I just taped it together with the fuse and tucked it under the truck. I zip tied everything to clips and existing harnesses under the bed. Best mod...

The only reason my display says 19.9 mpg is due to all the idle time I have doing grocery delivery, which was mentioned in the first point of my post. My truck basically runs all day when I'm working as I don't shut it off while waiting on orders or between deliveries.
