Just tested and the passenger lock and unlock (switch and manual lever) work normally. Wish I understood the behavior of all these settings better. Really I just want the damn thing to just not lock on its own. Is that too much to ask?

BTW/ the lock setting I unenabled is ‘Switches Enabled’, which according to what I’ve read controls whether someone can reach inside to unlock a door. Don’t see how that would relate to auto lock behavior, but this could be a Ford programming issue. Maybe someone who’s locked themselves out...

Thanks for confirming. This would be easy to do getting out to scrape ice off the window while the car is running for defrost. You would typically not have a door or window open in that scenario. There should be an option to totally disable all autolock functionality. I’ve never had this...

Yikes!! Not sure where you are but you’re excused from testing duty. Coast of Maine here. In the mid-60s. Hardly ever gets up to 80. My last Tacoma’s A/C died and never bothered to fix it. My wife turns on her heated seat in the summer.

This is exactly the scenario I’m most worried about and why I will be hiding a spare key which can unlock but not start truck. IMHO needs to address this ASAP.
