This is just like a political debate. Nobody will change their mind.
For anyone who hasn't yet made up their mind, feel free to PM me if you're interested in what the EPA light duty vehicle testing group at NVFEL thinks.
I used these and an M8 tap:

You do have to drill out the mounting holes just a little bigger because the spacing isn't quite wide enough, or if you have access to a machine shop like me you could have...
I have a similar story but with home theater setups. Fortunately I'm not picky at all with my car audio because I only spend about 4 hours a week in it, but I got into home theater stuff years ago. I built a legit basement theater in my previous house with some pretty decent sound and an...
This.
The extra ethanol is actually WORSE for your vehicle if it's sitting for long periods of time.
And on top of all of that.....I have my own personal experience that contradicts the original post about putting in premium because it's stable for longer. My motocross bike needs 93 octane...
I was told by an engineer at GM that the computers actually monitor a lot of things when calculating the oil life. Things like the load on the engine and the temperature. It's pretty sophisticated, and I would trust the oil life monitors.
Another member on this board had a clever way of...
This analysis looks slightly better than the one you posted at 10,888 miles. I'm guessing the new engine was shedding some metals into the oil, and now it's reaching equilibrium. No sign of any water is really good. That oil has plenty of life in it.

I do light duty vehicle testing for the EPA. My specialty is actually Evap testing, but I still get very involved in the dyno testing too as well as motorcycle testing.
Official tank capacity in the EPA database is 14.5 gallons. You can certainly squeeze a little more than that in it, but you are risking damaging the evap. canister with liquid fuel.
Just fyi guys and gals, it is never recommended to fill the tank up beyond the first click from the pump...
Yeah there's no way I'm towing any more than 2000 lbs with my Maverick. It doesn't have the right combination of capabilities. I was just stating an opinion on the "stoutness" of the Harbor Freight hitch part and how strong it feels. Under the right settings I could believe that thing is...
Well I kinda of alluded to it already. I didn't realize the Maverick was the perfect vehicle for me until the demand was insanely high and they weren't taking orders for 2023's. So I had to wait until the order banks opened for 2024 in July. Before the banks opened I found out they swapped the...
I am using a curt relay box, but only that. It's a powered box and I have my own fuse housing. It's only a 10 amp fuse. I'm not using the pre-fab connector splices or the T-taps (they are no good). I much prefer my own soldering with good heat shrink tubing.
Yeah like I said, I would've paid the $100 if I had known it was that cheap. My salesman had no pricing available when I ordered it because I was literally the first person through the door in the morning of the first day the order banks opened and I was also told that fewer options might get me...
Hey guys,
I picked up my '24 Maverick XL Hybrid on Friday and immediately got to work adding a hitch. I should've just paid the $100 for a factory hitch, but that's a long story.
I used these two videos for help, but both had inaccuracies:
The first video is a '22 Maverick with a 3500...
