Just curious but do you think it may just be the hybrid? My wife and I have no issues with ours but it is the 2.0, not the hybrid. The reason I ask is because ours was just totaled in a storm and the only replacements we can find close to what we now have are all hybrids.

Since it's a dial shifter, seems it would be easy to put it on the dashboard.

My wife saw (and we cannot now find it) an upgrade for the shifter. The Ford dial shifter is not a good idea. Every knob in the truck is round, why did they do that with the gear controls as well?! Has anyone seen or done an upgrade using the regular shifter from an F150?
