Whenever I remove the rack from the BAK x4ts, I'm always a little uncomfortable leaving the mounting bolts exposed. I whipped up these covers and they've held up fine for a few months so far (printed in PETG) but we'll see once summer hits. They fit 5/16-18 UNC about 0.75" long.

This reminds me of the drama surrounding the Chevy Bolt EV and its L-mode (aka, 1-pedal driving). In L-mode, it uses the electric motors to slow (and eventually stop) the car, no brake pedal required. When slowing using L-mode, it'll light up the brake lights but once stopped, the brake lights...
Same situation for me. I purchased an XLT Hybrid 2 months ago and got ~45 mpg on the first tank and am now getting ~31 mpg on the second tank. Only difference is that it's 100F+ every day instead of in the 80's.

Here are some photos of what it looks like. Pretty clean from the driver's perspective but need to figure out a better way to mount it underneath. I'm wondering if one of the bolts underneath can be used to hold a retaining clip or something.
Another vote for the MA1 Motorola wireless adapter. I also bought one of these right-angle extensions to make the connector stick out a little less (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CDM7G5WH). I then used a bit of adhesive/velcro to tuck it up out of sight within the 'cubby' or whatever...
