    Thank you Pat, I did also just find another thread on this where starting the ICE seemed to be the general consensus also. I've been doing it both ways, but I think I'll divert to starting the ICE every time from now on as I don't think that can hurt.

    If anyone has insight on whether it's important to get the engine running during this process, I'd appreciate it. Assuming all lubrication pumps are electric, it may not be necessary but if any are hydraulic or driven off the serpentine belt, perhaps it's important to get the engine running...
