You’re lucky it was in the bed. Got my first dent courtesy of a jerk in a parking lot after having the new truck for just a month — a visible crease on the exterior of the bed above the wheel well. Life trucks on!
Back two or three centuries ago when people cut coins into 8 pieces (to make smaller change) the original term "bit" referred to one of those pieces. A Spanish dollar was called a piece of eight (all 8 bits), so “two bits” meant a quarter of a dollar. So your coin was worth 2 bits, not a bit...
The Owner’s Manual that came with my Mav (hybrid), delivered last month, says (pg. 173) vehicle runs on min. octane of 87. Then on the next page it says for best overall performance premium fuel with acetone of 91 or higher is recommended. (My guess is that 91 won’t provide much benefit except...

My first truck was also the first vehicle with 4 wheels that I owned (just motorcycles before that) -- a 1970 Datsun. Drove it for 15 years. No need for 4WD -- just a pair of snow tires and a shovel. If the snow got too deep I'd just shovel enough snow into the...
I have little experience with tonneau covers, but I wonder if the emphasis on air infiltration that I see in many of the posts might be overblown (yes, bad pun). But seriously, even if the truck bed/box and cover were perfectly sealed, there would still be a tendency to billow because the air...
Coming right up -- just as soon as my Mav arrives, with the free B&O audio upgrade that the fine print (very fine print) promised for making an initial post. :like:
