Update on the random alert tones.….
And this is a funny one!
After many questions to my wife, and me driving her truck for about 100 miles over a couple of days to try to replicate the issue, I was finally able to to figure out what was causing this alert tone.
It turns out it was our dogs...
Supposedly her phone is the only one connected to the truck.
I have never synced my phone to it.
I did ask does this only happen when you are on the phone with somebody. Her answer was no, it happens randomly.
2024 Lariat Hybrid with 22k miles.
About three days ago my wife was on a 50 mile mostly highway trip when there was an alert tone followed by a winding noise. This happened enough time and randomly that she called me and I heard it too.
Well I met her that evening and drove the truck in just...
I did appreciate your detailed write up. If I go with the Maverick as my toad I will definitely refer back to this thread as I will do a self install. One thing I have learned over the years is it’s hard to trust other folks working on your vehicles.
Right now I have it made with the Jeep as...
Nice write up. We were considering flat towing our Maverick, as we have an old TJ Jeep now. After reading your complicated installation experience I may just keep the Jeep.
Our 24 Lariat hybrid,1500 miles, sounds like a spaceship when decelerating. I’m pretty sure its the regenerative braking, but it seems abnormally loud. One time while descending a long 9% grade, it made the same spaceship sounds only almost obnoxiously loud.
We used to own a 2012 Lincoln MKZ...
Asheville Ford was straight up and we paid MSRP. Even the finance guy didn’t try to upsale anything. He offered us some different extended warranty and maintenance packages, but we politely declined.
Ordered ours from Asheville Ford 6 months ago. Told them when I was ordering there will be no add ons like pin strips or nitrogen in the tires.
When it came in, they gave us a fair amount for our trade and we were in and out in about 2 hours. We were cash buy but we wanted them to transfer our...
Our 2024 Lariat doesn’t seem to do that. I have pulled in the garage with the heated seat and steer wheel off. The next day remote start it with the app and the seat is full on, every time. Haven’t figured out why that happens.
Here she is with a self applied Adams Graphene Ceramic coating. I did every possible area on the exterior, sans the wheels. It went on and came off better than I expected and the paint is sooo smooth now. I saved about $700 over the dealers price.
The coating is supposed to last 9 years if you...
I’m in the process of doing the Adams Graphine Ceramic coating now on our brand new Cactus Grey Maverick. I have properly prepped the paint and glass by clay barring and iron remover. So far everything looks great. I have the roof and tailgate to finish today then I may tackle the wheels. I will...
Hi, I am Mike and my wife Kelly from western North Carolina. We ordered a 2024 Maverick Lariat hybrid back in August of 23 and took delivery of it last Thursday.
This is our second hybrid from Ford, having owned a 2012 Lincoln MKZ hybrid before.
This is primarily my wife’s car, although I will...
