Only a quote to repair and paint, and it was over $1000. A new tailgate is much more.
Seemed simply replacing it with a used tailgate made the most sense. I intend to look for a wrecked truck, and swap the tailgate, if I wouldn't be losing a function particular to the Lariat.
I put a nice ding in my tailgate with my trailer. In looking to fix, the quotes are quite high. So I'm wondering if my '24 Lariat tailgate can be replaced by an XL or XLT tailgate. I know I'll have to paint. If they are the same, I'll start the junkyard search.
I owned a '23 Rav 4 Prime. Well built and all that. Wanted a truck and now have a '24 Maverick Lariot. I'd jump on a plug in prime type Maverick. We'll see at some time.
