  1. How long has it taken most people to get their truck?

I ordered August 2021 and got mine July 2022 so 11 months. I have a Hybrid XLT with the lux package. DB
  2. Recommendations for locking bed cover that will last in the Arizona heat/sun?

Hi all, thanks for your experiences and advice! I ended up going with the Diamondback SE cover. It had the combination of being solid, weather-proof, lockable, and easily removable. I'm very happy with it. It has two panels, one up front and one in back which open up kind of butterfly style...
  3. Anyone else interested in the Canoo truck?

Thanks for posting this! I love it. It's quirky and so weird-looking it's kind of cute. Reminds me of my first Prius. Kind of a Star Trek shuttle look... I don't love the range, which is only 200 miles per their website, but I love the modularity concept. I have often thought that cars ought to...
  4. Dang squirrels chewed through wires!

You could try Irish Spring soap under the hood, although I don't know how you would attach it so it doesn't rattle around...Where I live we have pack rats and apparently it works on them. Not surprised--that stuff smells like a chemical factory!
  5. Rumor: Toyota RAV4 Truck Will Tackle the Ford Maverick for Revenge

I totally agree about the horrible styling, particularly on the Toyotas. They're SLIGHTLY better recently but for a while they were so hideous. I'd love a 4Runner at some point (used) but the ones from a couple of years back are so FUGLY. The bug eyed headlights, and the "aggressive" grille--my...
  6. Recommendations for locking bed cover that will last in the Arizona heat/sun?

That is a nice one! I may go with that. I like the hinging lid idea.
  7. I10 highway speeds

I've driven mine on the highway (including I 10) a couple of times and I think it drives great. Don't recall MPG but it was in the mid-to-high 30s, I believe. DH
  8. Recommendations for locking bed cover that will last in the Arizona heat/sun?

Hi all, I have my hybrid Mav, and want to be able to put stuff in the bed and leave it there, so I'd like a lockable bed cover. I also want to be able to haul stuff without any major hassle. I'm petite, so I don't plan to be removing 100-lb fiberglass covers (not that I've seen any available...
  9. 5/9 build just disappeared from Ford's Vehicle Order Tracking!!

I had the same issue, and posted it in another thread. A very helpful person posted this link: https://ordertrack.app/ I used that instead and my vehicle shows up. Good luck :)
  10. 🧭 Maverick Build & Tracking Links

Thanks very much! I tried that link and it works. My Maverick is now "In Production". Eeeep! So excited!
  11. 🧭 Maverick Build & Tracking Links

Yes, I just tried to put in my order number and VIN and it keeps resetting the initial page. I'm assuming they're having some type of technical issue?
  12. Review: Living With a 2022 Hybrid Maverick XLT

Some people (quite a few, actually) have arthritis that makes twisting and turning motions difficult and painful. Others have disabilities of other kinds. That's why a push-button start is favored by many, particularly older people.
  13. ARIZONA - Dealer Talk

Hi everyone, I'm in Tucson, and saw the training model yesterday at Jim Click. Hope to go to Holmes Tuttle today for a second viewing with my mom. Are dealers in Tucson OK with MSRP pricing? Is anyone getting any guarantee that once the car gets here the dealer won't do a bait-and-switch and...
