I agree, but possibly if he sees no commission on a service plan VS at least a small one. He may try or hopefully do better than the marked up price he would normally quote you.
Does hurt to ask especially if they know you're turning down all their other markups.
I had given in on another...
When I bought my Lariat, they asked about extended warranty. I said don't bother you can't match what I can get online. I showed them and they looked it up then proceeded to match it. They couldn't believe they sell them so cheap but they did match it.
I have the basic LineX in my 2000 F150 bed and it's been exposed to the elements the whole time. It still is in good shape and hasn't failed at all. I put the same thing in my Maverick right after I got it.
When MyQ locked their system down I tried the Meross option with limited success. I then installed a Tailwind opener which does work with our MyQ openers. This adapter, app and car puck combination has been VERY reliable for automatically opening the door for my wife. The few times it's been...
Maybe I'm missing something? But if the truck is locked how do you open the fuel door to unlock the truck with the keypad? I'm sure I'm overlooking something very obvious?
@Crowman So here's how mine looks. The wire goes left and wraps with the trim piece. My Motorola M1a is up inside behind the trim piece. 2 images showing wire and 1 showing it's not Velcro to the underside.
My M1a has worked very good and always seems to connect reliably.
I'm not at my truck to take a picture, you can get a USB A right angle to the left. Wrap the wire down alongside the left lower trim piece the USB ports are in. Then stash you adapter inside that area where USB wires are. It's not very noticable when your done. This leave the USB C port...
Maybe?, just a shotgun guess without researching. If your home WiFi is 2.4Ghz and truck is 5Ghz your phone is trying to do both at same time?
Is odd your ports stayed powered up. Maybe there's a setting for that in dash? Possibly why people see different results? Some people may want their...
I'd have to search, but it's one of those hold 2 or 3 buttons on radio things. Resets radio, I've had to do this a few times when it was locked up. Not recently so sorry I don't remember buttons to push. I'm sure it's in the forum or Google knows.
I have my adapter plugged into the USB A port not the USB C port.
I believe the M1a uses both Wifi and Bluetooth. I copied this from a Google search.
"Yes, the Motorola MA1 wireless car adapter uses 5 GHz WiFi for Android Auto. It also has Bluetooth connectivity. The MA1 connects to your...
I have the exact same dongle. I personally haven't noticed that. I am plugged into the USB A port vice the C. It seems to disconnect as soon as I turn the truck off. I'll have to pay more attention, but my phone seems to switch from the M1a to my house wireless as soon as I turn off the truck.
I also ran into this issue with a mirror I bought on eBay. I bought the bridge needed on Amazon. It worked immediately and I haven't had any issues so far. Unfortunately I don't have ALOT of experience with it yet. I don't drive the Maverick alot so don't use the openers on the mirror much.
You could do like some have done and get 12V from the fuse panel in the floor board. Run that to a 12V USB adapter and plug your charging cord into that and run it up through your new hole your gonna make.
So Android auto? I have the Motorola wireless adapter and it has worked great using XM app.
I've read other threads where people added XM, I'm too lazy to search right now.
