You didn't have to do anything to get it to fit? The one I got doesn't seem to fit completely without modifying the box or the plastics slightly. Idk I've put it in a bunch of different ways but seems just hair too long on one corner.

Any amp can do 8ohms if wired that way, the power output is going to be significantly lower in this case though. Just a higher resistance, though hard to say if the impedance is too high that the amp would get choked out and cause damage. I'm not sure if this has ever really been covered though.

My only real reasoning would be so the hood prop isn't in my way if I am in the engine bay.

I think that is set in my mind too, Idc about it all that much and like i said in a previous it is a very late 23, so It will be low miles 23 by the time i want to drop it (I drive maybe 10-12k a year and with less kids it could be less). This 23 will suit me just fine.

I just looked at the Ford site a few days ago... if you click in the info button for the lux package it shows the windshield de-icer on it too.. so apparently they decided to keep it on. So in my case becomes a color thing so now I'm for sure on the 23 gonna pick that baby up this weekend or...
