  2. Did you buy AWD and why?

I bought an abandoned order. Was on the lot and got lucky. But I am glad I got AWD.
  3. I added factory power lumbar support to my XL Maverick seat

Found another new lumbar assembly on ebay for ~$50 w shipping. So decided to set up the passenger side. A bit easier since i already paid the dues w the first seat [see above] and used long pliers to anchor the assembly into the frame. I'm not interested in powering the device permanently...

@TrailMaster Yes, your system will now be in the secret X-MEN mode. LOL
  7. I added factory power lumbar support to my XL Maverick seat

@ChiefCheese 1. yah. was tempted to cut the felt to move the wire out of the way. But that kind of slop bothered me. Probably would have made no difference but still. I ended up just folding up the seat back as needed. 2. I had the hardest time w the effing anchors. Looked so easy but before I...
  8. Where are we at on adding additional seat cushioning / firmness

I retract my suggestion. Do not try the lumbar mod here on this forum. It's a PITA. https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/i-added-factory-power-lumbar-support-to-my-xl-maverick-seat.21696/page-5#post-679011 Go to an upholstery shop and have them retrofit the seat to your liking.
  9. I added factory power lumbar support to my XL Maverick seat

BE AWARE of this one guys. It's deceptively easy looking. In form it is; in practice no. The 'how-to' is missing some key points. I am doing the driver side seat: 1. their is a wire threaded thru the back seat cover. No mention of what to do here. Looks to be part of the seat airbag? You'll...
  10. Where are we at on adding additional seat cushioning / firmness

Whenever i see a seat augmentation like that I always wonder if you are battling a case of piles.
  11. Where are we at on adding additional seat cushioning / firmness

Back seats are the cheaper row. And, yes, more supportive/comfortable unintentionally. If it's lumbar, you can do it yourself with the mod in this forum. Or try 'quick n ez' lumbar with some zip ties. if it's the actual cushion your buttocks rest on, bring it to a car/upholstery shop. They can...
  12. Where are we at on adding additional seat cushioning / firmness

Guess I don't know what was the point of you saying you are athletically built had any relevance to the seat. At any rate, my closing comments remain the same. Listen to your body. Don't 'walk it off.'
  13. Auto Start/Stop Delete (Disable) using FORscan!! Works and confirmed! [ADMIN WARNING: NO TROLLING]

Yes. One less frivolous thing to do. And a certain satisfaction in having YOUR vehicle the way you want it. I've never sat in a car and said to myself 'gosh, i am really glad this thing is auto stopping and starting. I do not know what i'm going to do with all the money saved.'
  14. Where are we at on adding additional seat cushioning / firmness

That's fine and dandy if you are fit. You have the flexibility, core strength, etc to overcome these issues. I am no longer in the fit category. Some of use have xtra winter layers around our midsection. :) Yes, losing weight is the best option. But listen to your back. Easier to address the...
  15. Where are we at on adding additional seat cushioning / firmness

I have an XLT. It does not have active lumbar support. No denying that. I am 6' @ 240lbs. So that may have something to do with me wanting to invest in more lumbar.
  16. Where are we at on adding additional seat cushioning / firmness

I agree. You basically sink backwards into the seat. There certainly is no lumbar support in the seat itself. I am looking at this modification: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/i-added-factory-power-lumbar-support-to-my-xl-maverick-seat.21696/ If buying an assembly and doing...
  17. I added factory power lumbar support to my XL Maverick seat

Silly question. couldn't a fixed lumbar setting be done with zip ties? sure no powered adjustment but with some well placed zip ties you will basically be doing the same as the cable pulley?
