I ran Duratracs on my prior vehicle(A Jeep Wrangler), they made a noticable change to my mileage, but the offset was a significant increase in traction for both winter travel and off road use. They also were quite durable with plenty of tread left after 40,000 miles when I traded the Wrangler...
Due to a Ford dealership taking advantage of me in 1987, I just came of a 36 year stint of not giving Ford my business (It cost them a dozen vehicles in that time).
The Maverick was interesting enough to get me to give up my grudge. I hope I don't regret it, but this thread gives me pause...
