OMG I never got a letter about the break issue for under 15mph. But our truck absolutely does it. I just thought it was a weird hybrid thing. I swear the company is designed to make it almost impossible to trace what aspect of the company is responsible for paying or fixing your car. I’m so...
My truck was built without the positive jump terminal on the under hood jump terminal. A few mechanics are looking for the part number and so am I but so far none of us can find it. Anyone know what this is?
Update on my recall work/ warranty repair work. Tomorrow will be 30 days of nothing but a dead truck.
So outside of the recall work it looks like our truck may qualify for a buyback program. When they built it they forgot to install the positive jump terminal to the battery under the hood. No...
Snow tires were a must have for us. But we live at the top of a giant mountain in Alaska. Otherwise the MPGs went down a bit. Everything else handled great. We have a hybrid.
So, I recently found another missing component on my hybrid….anyone else missing this? The negative connection is there but the positive one and all it’s components are MIA.
You could try filing a better business bureau complaint against the dealer. My understanding is that they facilitate communications between the two parties to make it harder for them to ghost you.
You’re absolutely right! That’s the issue. I’m trying not to mess with it because I don’t want to void the warranty. I found out when we tried to tow it that it’s also missing the manual break release. It’s just a big hole where it’s supposed to be. So far no one can agree if it’s supposed to be...
thanks for reaching out. I understand all the constraints, I just wish that the agents at ford would be more transparent about what’s going on. It’s incredibly frustrating. I’m glad that I post on here though. I never realized that so many people have had the same problem.
This is why I’m so frustrated. Every time I talk to customer service, I ask the question: how do you not have a policy for dealing with owners in remote locations? America is huge and you’re an American company. We cannot be the first to have this issue or the last.
You’re right about the mechanic. There used to be a ford dealership on island, so our mechanic is a master technician with Ford. But they will only give the part to people whose cars are inspected by a dealership. Supposedly they don’t have enough for everyone so is a by need basis. Our mechanic...
That my issue. At this point I just want the part. But I’ve been told I can only get the part by having it inspected at a dealership to confirm that I actually need it, they currently only have enough parts to fix the cars that don’t start. So if your car starts you have to wait for it to not...
The issue is that I cannot buy the part…Ford doesn’t have enough for everyone. You have to have it inspected at a dealership to get the correct part. Though I have seen quite a few post of people making up their own solutions
To clarify: If I could buy the part and have it fixed myself I would. The dealership I bought the truck from was very transparent and told me the parts needed for the recall repair are in very very short supply. You can only get the parts if you take the truck to a dealership and the inspection...
I absolutely love my Ford Maverick hybrid. However, I am in the military and was required to move from California to a tiny island in Alaska. The truck handled Alaska like a champ.
Then we were issued a no start recall. No problem! There’s a ford mechanic on the island. However, 8 months...
I called the dealer we bought it from and they told me that you can’t even get on the list to get the parts for the no start issue until it’s been inspected by a dealership and determined to have the no start issue….so they are just waiting for all our trucks to die before they fix them. It’s so...
We have been waiting for parts for the no start recall for 8 months. This week, the truck didn’t start. Now it’s in the shop and it turns out they will only send you the parts for the recall when the truck is proven not to start because they have no parts…..gotta love that.
We’re missing ours. Do you know if it was a manufacturing issue or something that was supposed to be installed by the dealership? They have us bouncing back and forward between the two…we’re missing some other stuff too
