  1. Elevate Kayak Rack and BAKFlip MX4 Tonneau cover installed

Me too! The tonneau cover can only flip back 2/3rds unfortunately on the lowest telescoping setting, but I intend on using the trunk for storage while camping so I don’t really need to open it all the way anyways. My use case is for a pop up camper ontop. Even installed a hoist in my garage to...
  2. 2024 Upgraded 4th-Gen Lasfit LSplus Series LED Bulb | BRIGHTEST & STABLEST

I would love brighter headlights, but this product isn't applicable to Ford Mavericks? To my understanding, you can only replace the entire headlight housing which usually costs $1000+ šŸ¤”
  3. Hybrid PTU (Power Transfer Unit)?

Hey all- stupid question, I have a 23 Hybrid XL FWD- Does anyone know if it actually has a PTU or not? I checked the owners manual and it’s not very clear. From my researching and what I’ve read, it seems like you would only have a PTU / RTU if you have AWD. Just wanted to do a quick sanity...
  4. RACEWAY FORD in Riverside California has Mavericks in stock.

Thanks for thinking of me. I actually did! Picked up a 23 XL brand new for *only* 27k. I can live with a 3k mark up.. so worth it been loving it. :)
  5. To Salvage, or not to be.

I was thinking this too since I can probably pick one up that’s already pretty depreciated, i could probably resell it next year and get most of my money back. idk if I can bring myself to get another ranger since I totaled my current one. I feel like I will be taking a step sideways instead of...
  6. To Salvage, or not to be.

I’m so worried about buying something used to hold me over because I feel like I’ll be throwing that money away I otherwise could throw down now on a Maverick. Unless I’m able to get a used car that is already depreciated. Like I said in the post I was thinking about getting a fusion, I’m just...
  7. To Salvage, or not to be.

Yeah, I’ve decided to not go through with it. I appreciate all the input I got. Y’all have made a lot of good points and reinforced some of the concerns I already had. Feels sketch and doesn’t seem like a good idea. Better to play it safe. If I can get an XL this week for around the same price...
  8. To Salvage, or not to be.

User name checks out.. if only. šŸ˜‚
  9. To Salvage, or not to be.

Yup, I considered this too. I’ve called a lot of places and it’s usually the same story. ā€œOh yeah it’s available, we’re asking 5k+ over MSRP. Oh, it said it was MSRP online? Oh man that’s crazy, oops.ā€ Or ā€œyeah that’s not available, it’s a customer order. If they cancel we’ll call you (but just...
  10. To Salvage, or not to be.

Sure- but competition is always high for any mavericks nowadays. Unfortunately I don’t think more time will help, and I need a car asap so I’m SOL. Gotta love living somewhere car dependent lol.
  11. To Salvage, or not to be.

Yeah, that’s what I’m hoping for. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll have the privilege of overpaying for a XL. 😭 Lesson learned, don’t wreck your car before your 2024 delivery.
  12. To Salvage, or not to be.

I get what you mean. My thought process was it might make more sense to get a truck now (not necessarily the salvaged one anymore) because when I go to resell the sedan it’ll have depreciated at least half. Long term financially, might be better to bite the bullet now which should save me money...
  13. To Salvage, or not to be.

I noticed that too. Wasn’t going to let them get me on any financing, but i get what you mean. Red flags. Wouldn’t put it past them to sell a sketchy salvaged vehicle. Chances are it would be fine, but it’s an unnecessary risk. :/
  14. To Salvage, or not to be.

Sigh. Maybe I’ll just suck it up and get a Fusion. Man I don’t want to drive a sedan.. šŸ˜‚
  15. To Salvage, or not to be.

ā€œAndrewā€ from Welco Motors Rancho Cordova. Dealer seems sketch. Asked for a $500 cash deposit to hold it. Fishy.
  16. To Salvage, or not to be.

Yeah pretty much what I figured. The smart thing would be to not mess around and find out. Is it really worth gambling your life over a slightly cheaper maverick. šŸ¤”
  17. To Salvage, or not to be.

Yup. The financing wouldn’t be a problem in this case, but I see your point. Seems like the only good salvage deals would be vehicles that are already very depreciated.
  18. To Salvage, or not to be.

Well, yes it is salvage title but physically it’s not like it’s actually wrecked. Or if it was, then it was fixed. But it’s seeming like it’s not even worth my time even drive there and find out lol
  19. To Salvage, or not to be.

I’m assuming for multiple reasons like Insurance, resale value, risk of problems, etc? But it’s not like it’s salvaged as in physically wrecked and rebuilt, so it seems.. Of course I don’t know the full story yet but is buying vehicles with salvaged titles really just for fools then? :/
  20. To Salvage, or not to be.

Yeah, smells like a bad idea so it probably is. It’s just very frustrating, I feel just as silly paying a markup on an XL but I don’t think I have a better option. Probably smarter long term to get a clean title, especially if I’m concerned about making smart financial choices.
