ā24 XL Hybridā¦this trouble code has popped a couple of times in the last week. It clears with my OBDII scanner. Iāve read what I can find through DuckDuckGo, and Iāll call the dealer tomorrow to set a service appointment. I was surprised that I could find no mention of this trouble in the...
Ford part #: NZ6Z60286A72A. Question: Is the box insert robust enough to store my trailer hitch and spare ball? Or will the bottom break out and send my hitch tumbling down the interstate in the path of other vehicles?
Replaced the factory steelies on my ā24 to Bronco Sport Outer Banks. Looks great, just had to buy new lug nuts. TPMs never alarmed: I guess because both sets were Ford factory TPMs. BTW, the steelies are listed in the marketplace here on MTC.
Picked up my new HPR Hybrid last evening. Drove it home, about 6 miles, didnāt pay any attention to the MPG dash reading. This morning, I ran some errands. Initially, I was showing 14 mpg. As I drove around, the number climbed up to about 27 over about 40 miles of city travel. I guess the...
Zero wait time. Spoke with Brittany and she was wonderfully helpful. My XL Hybrid was scheduled for week of 11/13. The website update of 11/17 still showed āin productionā. Brittany checked and her info says ābuiltā and an expected delivery date of 12/11-12/17. She also gave me my private...
What is the max mpg that the mpg readout will show? On short trip that is all electric, the logical mpg is infinity, but what will the readout show? 999? Or some other number? The largest Iāve seen in a post was 109 mpg where 75% of a short 3 mile trip was electric.
Iāve been in a couple of discussions with other MTC members regarding high mpg/tank. My observations are that while itās possible to get 600+ mpg, are you sacrificing time and HV battery life to do so? All of the posts Iāve seen regarding the ā600 mile clubā show relatively slow driving speeds...
Got an email from Ford tonight at about 8:00 PM. My build week is delayed from 10/23 to 11/13. Oh, well. Iāve waited about 13 months (thatās not as bad as many of you!), I guess an extra three weeks aināt the end of the world.
On impulse I bought a set of Bronco Sport take-off wheels. Came with Michelin 225-60-R18 tires with about 1/4ā of tread left. I paid $550. Fair deal or not?
just read an article from Ford Authority on FB. They quoted dealer inventories for Mavericks in September was just under 4000 units. There are right at 3000 dealers. It wouldnāt let me post the article or I would have. It looks like market adjustments will be here for a while yet.

Is it my imagination or do the higher trims (Lariat and XLT) have more problems? Obviously, with more whistles and bells, there are more things that CAN go wrong, and Murphyās Law applies. Maybe there were just more upper trim level trucks sold, therefore there will be more issues with those...
Looking forward to my Maverick (build date: late October ā23). While my Ranger is in the shop, my rental is a 2023 Ranger XLT 4x4. I donāt like it. It feels bigger and clunkier than my 2011 XLT 4x4. Maybe itās just because itās different than what Iāve been driving for over a decade, but...
I was just thinking that a company could make money on wheel covers (hubcaps) for steelies. Iām actually surprised it hasnāt happened yet, or have I just missed it?
I donāt have my XL Hybrid yet (23>24 rollover). Iām retired and mostly a homebody. I donāt put many miles on my vehicle ( maybe 100 miles per week). Is there a recommendation or rule-of-thumb about how often I should drive the new truck to keep everything in good working condition, especially...
