I've also found TC or traction control also plays a part. Particularly when trying to launch and "lag".
A tune or peddal commander would more than likley clear the air. Otherwise lead foot it!
Thanks for the reply, I'll think it over and hit you guys up. Sounds the the Power Module is up my alley. Especially considering all I'm putting on the Mav is the intake and catback.
Hey Caleb,
Hope all is well, I had a question or two surrounding "tunes". Currently all I have on my Lariat Mav is a K&N intake (not drop in filter but the full intake) a boomba BoV, and eventually a catback (mainly for sound)
In your opinion, what route should I go? Cobb + custom panda tune...
Trying to find time in between work to get this going. I did manage to get my CAI and BOV installed. I dont trust shops so im limited to when I get a break.
Its all to very easy to "offend" now-a-days lol!
No worries-I took it as you just sharing knowledge. Nothing wrong with saving people the trouble by sharing past experiences/research. Its the only way we get better!
Black rifle coffee here *cheers*
Appreciate the detailed response, and sharing your knowledge.
Why do you say best suited?
Currently I've narrowed it between MBRP and AFE, and really only leaning towards AFE because it has a similar rumble + I like the dual blk tips in front of the rear tire.
Any exp with AFE? Really just...
Understood, and naturally I'm in the same camp as you are.
However I found this while researching the best cat back

So I was just curious if the "butt dyno" noticed anything...
Thanks for your feedback, to your point I do recall reading similar things when doing my research prior to installing.
Mav has a MAP not MAF not too worried in that arena. But I understand oil vs paper, and all the liabilities involved.
That said....What coffee we drinking??
Over the weekend I installed the K&N air intake & Boomba BoV on the Mav.
Prior to install I managed about 200-250 miles on stock.
Post install I felt a bit more "pep" around 2.5 - 4k range (could be mental) my wife says it feels the same as it did when it was stock.
I guess the most...
Yeah planning on leaving the suspension stock and stuffing those wheels under there.
Took a pause on that project as I'm install a few mods first before the wheels go on.
