  1. Hood deflector recommendations?

How has this been holding up, any vibrations or hood flex? And does it actually do a decent job preventing rock chips and bug splats? And if you have any pics you could share.
  2. Muslogy Bed Mat, love it

Not concerned about puncturing, just about weight so it doesn’t lift or risk flying out on the highway.
  3. Muslogy Bed Mat, love it

@Benilla @Cocobean How heavy duty is this mat? Amazon's webpage says 11 lbs, which seems pretty light for a bed mat like this. It looks pretty nice but the Rough Country one is more than double the weight.
  4. Installing some extra tie downs, but need opinions

@ladyhawkgt @BBurnie @TheWizziard How has this been working out for you? Your setups are the most similar to what I want to do. Curious how they are holding up, if you've learned anything new. At the risk of sounding like a complete idiot, when you say ring on top, is that the first or second...
  5. 24S33 / 24V-330 New Recall Notice - Hybrid Powertrain Control Module (HPCM) - Issued 5/3/24

They always mess up some mundane detail... It's been a blessing and a curse that onboard computers have been the issue with these. Good because it's a software update that hopefully does not cause cumulative damage to physical components. But bad because, software is difficult. I do wish the...
  6. Ford Service Centers in Tampa Bay area

Was that the mobile service unit that came to you for that recall? I have been contemplating using that but wasn’t sure if they would be able to do all the work I need, or if it would be the same quality I’d get taking it into the dealer itself.
  7. Ford Service Centers in Tampa Bay area

Does anyone have any recommendations or experiences to share with Ford service centers in the Tampa Bay area? Hoping to get an idea of which dealers treat their service customers well. Oil changes, warranty work, etc. Autonation Ford (Bradenton) Autonation Ford (St. Pete) Bill Currie Ford...
  8. Issue installing software update

Wow sorry to hear that, that's super frustrating. If it were me I'd take it back to the dealer and verify it right then and there. Considering it won't even update I'd assume starting with the head unit is best and once sorted you can figure out if it's the phone. Good luck with it!
  9. New stereo firmware update available!

To anyone having trouble updating Sync 2.5 and had to get a dealer to install it for them: does it fix the issue with updates not download/installing, or am I gonna need to take this thing to a service center every single time a new update is released?
  10. About to go insane (sync update)

Did you end up getting updated to 2.2 during your service appointment? This has been happening to me, which prompted me to try and update the firmware to fix it, which led me to problems with updating. I am running 1.9 with the same audio issue. What version are you running? Hoping I can...
  11. Issue installing software update

Did you ever figure this out? I am stuck on 1.9 with the same problem. I used to make more progress and actually get a progress bar for downloading, but I’ve never made it past installation. Now I don’t even get a downloading or installing bar, it just loops right back to show me the last time...
  12. Carplay and general software issues investigation

I've experienced some of the issues too (notably no audio during the first call using Carplay, an occasional crash/connection problems). We need to go full nerd and include as much details as possible. Here is my setup: 2023 XL Hybrid Ford Audio version G1.9.0.1_R22075A, Revision...
  13. Crowdsourced Maverick MPG figures from 282 owners over 2.6 million miles (from Fuelly) ⛽️

I drive mostly 70+ on the highway, and only a couple short trips each week or two. Still getting 40+ with my hybrid. I was at a solid 50 when driving a mix of 55 to 60mph highway and stop-and-go city. I have a feeling battery discharge is holding me back a bit, but the only thing better than...
  14. Jalopnik Review: The 2023 Ford Maverick XL Proves That Sometimes, Base Is Best

Same config here, except no sliding rear window and I kept the steelies. I figure the few things I’d want extra I can handle myself - and cheap. Power tailgate lock, possibly speaker upgrade, extra tie downs and rails, bed accessories, etc. The only thing I’d really want that I couldn’t do...
  15. Tow Hitch Cover

Does the retainer fit properly? I picked my Mav up recently and there isn’t much space between the lip of the receiver on top. I have the standard class 2 option from the factory. And is there a particular plastic plug you’d recommend for the pin lock hole?
