From SF-Yosemite upper pine campgrounds/glacier point I avg 23 mpg considering I had the tent/cargo/racks/rock sliders/new under body skid plates I’d say pretty damn good
In order,
- Ford tonneau cover hard trifold (can’t open it fully due to the rack but I prefer to keep it on to keep inventory in bed hidden)
- Xtrusion - XTR1 Bed Rack 14” with wide wing brackets (tonneau support) - ($989)
& Front runner- Slimline II Roof Rack ($1,074)
Couple friends & I took our rides down to Hollister hills to test our capabilities. All in all we got through the Green trails & blue with ease. Had to cut the day short but next time we go we’ll get drone footage/go pro.
Where did you get the rack installed? Went to a local shop & they were afraid to do it since dropping the liner would involve the airbags/stereo, they suggested I contact my local ford dealership
He was averaging about 17 mpg but he was going about 90 on the openings & he has the ford performance tune & the snorkel & the next trek might be near Yosemite or somewhere south
Took a trip from SF California to the Umpqua national forest in Oregon , fueled 3x, once before leaving, one before crossing to Oregon & once on the way back. Overall ride was smooth & passengers didn’t complain/ show any discomfort. MPG was consistently at 25 for the first few hours but then...
Just hit 1,000 miles driving through San Francisco (- 100 driving it on the freeway from the dealer) current MPG is from my daily commute to & from work.
Haven’t seen any Maverick tremors in San Francisco area, fortunately one came up Friday on a dealer 50 miles from me & i’ve been getting impatient waiting for a build date so I sent them my info & went straight after work, needless to say enjoying every second in it.
