I just use my cell phone with the Sirius app, works great and doesn't cost any extra as I already pay for one subscription.

I have had multiple issues with no sound and the system staying in the "off" position. What I have found is to disconnect my phone by unplugging the wired connection and magically the radio or other player starts. Resetting the system also works. But try this first as it's a lot faster/easier.

MY 2023 XLT Hybird doesn't have XM Radio. However, I do have a subscription with another vehicle and can use the XM app on my phone attached via Android app at no additional cost. You just need to set up some favorites on the app and you are good to go.
