They did this last month too, scheduled everything and then said they were scheduling retail orders again for a few weeks after. None were scheduled. I don't expect more emails until mid June.

My dealer sent me a copy of my COVP back when I placed the order in September. I'm hopeful that Ford is going to offer price protection to the unfulfilled COVP 2023 orders after all or at least cull some of these duplicate orders that just end up as dealer stock.

At this point, I'm more optimistic about my 2024 Eruption Green Maverick than I am for my 2023 Cactus. If they can keep this scheduling going maybe they'll build 80% of their orders next year.

If you want to keep it as an option to purchase, just leave it. If you call the dealership to cancel, my guess is they change the priority code to 10 and try to have it built as dealer inventory to sell, possibly with a chunk of ADM to pad their profit. You will be under no obligation to buy...
