I live in Mississippi and it has been and will be hot all summer, over 90 every day. I noticed that my XL dash is getting sticky/tacky to the touch, specifically the humped spot right behind the steering wheel. The plastic feels really thin and malleable too. Has anyone else noticed this?

I tried peppermint oil, Irish Spring soap, and the chili flavored tape. None worked. Then I put little green chunks of rodent poison around the engine using zip ties, and that stopped the problem. Never found the dead rodent in my engine or on the ground.

I have used the Honda rodent proof tape on my Odyssey. It doesn't work (at least the chili flavored one didn't work for me). Replaced the same sensor two times due to rodents.

That is unacceptable to me. You people advising OP of getting earplugs are just ignorant. Imagine driving 1000 miles with that noise! That is a legit flaw in the building process.
