Has anyone tried a 12V battery minder to keep the 12V battery charged when not in use for an extended period of time... or when it's extremely cold?

Good thoughts, Mr. Bryant. I'm interested because it would fit in my garage, it's flat-towable behind my motor home, it's affordable, and it will get better mileage than my current ride 2013 Subaru Outback. Bonus points for being easy on the eyes.
