I ordered a hybrid from West Hills in Bremerton. Hopefully they come through. Originally ordered an XLT with trailer hitch and SBL 9/17/22. Rolled to a MY2024. Getting close to having to bail. :(
I did not get my 45 day update this time around. That's after a confirmation and 4 previous updates from Ford. Should I be worried? I'm starting to look at alternatives as my current ride is not going to last forever.
Yeah I've been doing Brokered 3 months between 4 and 4.4% for now just in case things change and I want that cash to put back into equities. Stuff that I just had sitting there doing nothing.
Yeah by the time Ford catches up, if they funnel all of their battery resources to the Lightening, the Maverick will probably be $5k higher too. Your example of the Prime is for a PHEV that require bigger batteries to get that initial all electric range. It's definitely a quandary that all of...
Interesting...did not know that angle. Too bad that many of the newcomers that do not need that requirement cannot wait that long. Thank You for sharing!
I used to be Chrysler/Mopar guy. Still have a D100 and Chrysler Minivan. Not good luck with GM products back in the day and that still lingers. Had a Hyundai Elantra recently but loaned it out to the kids and it took a beating so I sold it. Actually own a Toyota RAV4 with the 3.5 V6 now that my...
Right... Oh my word. By the time all those Lightnings get built us middle income people will be buying a small Toyota Hybrid Pickup and may never come back.
No offense but there are a lot more of potential lifetime Ford customers that can not afford an 80-100 thousand dollar Lightening. The fact that the initial base engine was the hybrid for the Maverick got a lot of people excited, including the new to Ford. Now they want you to switch to an ECO...
Yeah it is definitely a quandary as to what Ford should do... The batteries in the hybrids are much smaller than the EV's but then there is the profit margin issue. Even the plug-ins require bigger batteries.
That would be short sighted as the Maverick is an entry level vehicle that would/will build customer loyalty to the broader consumer for maybe a lifetime. If Ford wants to lead in the electrification move, a positive experience is needed. A Hybrid Maverick now can lead to many more Ford...
So I guess my bigger complaint would be then, why did they let twice as many people order a hybrid than they could produce or deliver in a reasonable amount of time? That seems like a terrible business decision! Hey I'm a big Ford fan and actually own stock in the company.
So I have a 2023 XLT hybrid on order. Minimal add-ons. Dropped the Lux and splash guards. Not sure if that will help or not but seemed to be some of the earlier constraints. I'm a previous Ford owner of Focus, Taurus and Ranger. All very good vehicles. I want to hang in there for the hybrid as...
