Do you have experience with that paint working on catalytic converters? The paint is only rated to 500 F, which as I understand is within the normal operating temperature of cats. Perhaps hybrid cats are cooler because the engine doesn't have to run all the time and because of the Atkinson cycle.

I've read on this forum that there are two catalytic converters including one that is readily accessible to a thief. When I went under my truck I confirmed that there is something that looks like a catalytic converter that is readily accessible.

The point is to deter theft because the thieves may have a harder time selling the converter. Police departments have recommended this. I plan on etching my VIN number.

It looks like the plug is covered by the canister and is above the bottom of the canister. I don't have a gap on one side.
