No I didn't press and hold. The other times I fueled up that wasn't necessary. The button had no travel when I pressed it this time. That's what made me think that the button was stuck.
I searched, but didn't see anything on this issue.

I recently took a trip to the NC mountains. On my way home I was on a long downhill run, with my cruise control on, when I had a couple of episodes of my engine revving out of control. Anybody else experienced this? I have wondered if it was because I had the cruise control on.
I have the Ford deflectors, and I am very disappointed with the quality of the finish. The edges are not smooth finished, and they are cut unevenly. I would wait for aftermarket. They will be cheaper and better quality.
The connector on the pigtail isn't the Motorcraft WPT-984, but rather a Molex series MX150 (P/N 34675-0001). I haven't found one for sale individually yet.
