If you get the Lariat model you get leds, if you get the XL you get incandescent. I replaced the bed lights and the difference was amazing, same for the back up lights. Seeing and being seen is important to me. I replaced the brake lights for the same reason.

There are threaded holes in the bedsides, but the holes were threaded before the bed was painted. So chase the holes with a tap if you don't want to break off a bolt in the holes.

I got the same one as Gvmumbral but I mounted it vertically on the front of access box in the center console. I used a 3/4' spacer to move it forward to clear the overhang of the access box, It works great, is out of the way and that model works vertically. I live on a one mile gravel road...
