Checked with Ford dealership. They do not void the warranty. They bolt on the same way the Ford hitch does.

as of yesterday, ford cs told me, that you have a vin, it will be built.

submitted an order on 9/16 and no email notification, dealer says order was submitted, ford CS says no order submitted with the order code the dealership generated.
