After 2 years of surf fishing the beaches of Jersey, I have seen what can handle the sand and what gets stuck... I'd have to say an old, jacked up Ram 2500 would be my fun/toy truck if I ever had the money. I don't take my fwd hybrid on the sand(obviously) but after seeing jeeps and f-150s get...
Isn't the estimated towing capacity calculated by keeping the coolant at a certain temp in Arizona on a 15 degree incline at 60mph? I feel like towing a few tourists on a level surface at a max of 5-10mph should be easy?
Put a K&N filter in around this time last year, also ordered the cleaner kit this week. No issues, only had the filter for 18k miles or so. Also switched the the k&n oil filters since they are alot easier to replace with the bolt.
TFL Truck's original hybrid Ike towing test was one of the videos I watched alot before ordering my 2023 hybrid. Its cool seeing them give it another go with the new power train!
I recall seeing a handful of Chevy S10s that were modded to be electric vehicles, basically filled the bed with solar panels... This was back in the mid 2000s, so I could be remembering incorrectly. I think they wanted the trucks to be fully stand alone and electric, not sure how practical that...
24,500ish in 18 months of ownership. Other then a faulty mass airflow sensor, she's been issue free. Really glad I found these little trucks when I did, best vehicle I've owned by a long shot.
I'm running K&N air filter and oil filter at the moment. I read alot of people saying they don't work or are to expensive. Other people live by them. No one has mentioned them blowing the motor, and after a few thousand miles since installing it, I have no complaints.
I have aftermarket hood struts, and the hood did get stuck. Did fix it by popping off the side panel and fixing the release tube. I have twisted the little hood pucks to raise them up and haven't had an issue since.
I upgraded my hybrid 2.5 to the K&N filter, part# 33-5122 two weeks ago, easy install. Also doing an oil change this weekend and will be putting in the K&N HP-1002 filter. After doing a fair bit of reading online, seems to be 2 camps, people who swear by them, and people who think they are a...
I think one of the first things I grabbed for my Mav was the rough county bed mat. Fits well, doesn't slide around, and takes a beating. Mine doesn't have the branding on it, but it holds up what I need it for, didn't want to dent the bed with rocks and firewood.
My wives' Q3 burns oil like its a job, so I check that every other week or so, check the maverick as well at the same time. Always right where it should be, but you never know. I change it around 7k, around the time it starts to get darker.
Picked up Maeve from the dealership today. Two and a half weeks for the manifold sensor, or map sensor arrived and they got it up and running for me. From the readout it seems like they couldn't get it to throw a code for them, but replaced the sensor as a possible cause? Anyway, seems to be...
