Oh Also, I am using non-ethanol gas. And when driving at 65-75 I get 32-38MPG. In fact I get better mileage at 75 than at 60 by far. (5-10MPG at least)
It hasn't gotten any better. Last 1/2 tank of gas I got 22.1 MPG. That was almost all city driving. When looking at the hybrid coach screen, and the ICE is running, I only rarely see a slice of blue on the far left side of the meter bar (Indicating the electric motor trying to assist the ICE I...
Wow, I have never, ever seen anywhere near that much charge. Mine maxes out at about under the R in electric...if I'm lucky. I don't have any acceleration to speak of in electric mode either. Might be able to get up to 20mph on flat ground in 200 yards or so, maybe.
Many years ago my father bought a couple of seat belt extenders for his hunting truck to keep the chime from dinging (That tells the truck that something is in the seat belt connection). On my hyb Mav, I fastened all the rear belt then did the key on, seatbelt fasten/unfasten trick and it turned...
Thanks for the advice. I'll give using the L button a shot. But understand, in no way can I ever go beyond 10% power usage without the gas engine starting. Then instant mileage starts at 10mpg at 20mph, and slowly increases to maybe 22mpg until I let off the gas to put it into electric. Then on...
Yeah truck computer shows a bit more than the actual mileage, when calculated by hand. I have about 3500 miles on the truck and have NEVER calculated more than 32MPG
In sports mode it accelerates like a bat out of hell. But the mileage it about the same no matter what mode I am in. I try to remember to switch it to econ every time I start it up. But it doesn't make much difference in mileage.
Oh in sports mode? It runs like a bat out of hell! But hybrid mode isn't used in Sports mode, correct? And I get about the same mileage when on the highway (65-70mph) no matter what mode I'm in.
Thanks! I have been a mechanic all my life, and my first impression (gut feeling) is that somehow the hybrid battery is not holding a charge like it should.
Miles driven divided by gallons used. I notice that my truck starts the engine after I back out of my driveway every day and will NOT use the electric motor until I have driven about 5 miles, even while coasting.
I don't get it. I am only averaging 30mpg in my hybrid Maverick. That is 40% town, and 60% highway driving. IF I drive all in town, I average 20-22 mpg. This is done by actual math at the pump, not by the trucks estimate. Here's the thing, I BARELY touch my accelerator pedal, and I can stay in...
