  1. Anyone waiting on the 2023 Corolla Hybrid Instead?

I think I will, I have 2 Maverick orders, an EcoBoost and a hybrid, I might just keep the EcoBoost and order a Corolla Hybrid.
  2. I'm now thinking the 5K asking over invoice was not such a bad deal

An overpriced Maverick like that makes no sense at all, you made the right choice in my opinion.
  3. Are Mavericks Sold Outside the United States/Canada?

I know they're at least sold in Mexico.
  4. MY23 Order - dealer only getting 1 allocation - refunding deposit

Maybe Ford prefers making more Mach Es and F150 Lightnings than Mavericks, perhaps public social pressure can help shift some of the lithium and chips resources towards more Mavericks.
  5. MY23 Order - dealer only getting 1 allocation - refunding deposit

I understand that a different engine is a big change but I'm not sure if it's a different PEP and Body code.
  6. MY23 Order - dealer only getting 1 allocation - refunding deposit

Is it a different pep body or body code changing from Hybrid to EB FWD ?
  7. Dealer claims that 2023 Hybrid orders just placed will not be filled this model year

I would think they have a system already in place to send emails to dealers, they send emails all the time. They sent one notifying they would close orders "early to mid next week"
  8. Dealer claims that 2023 Hybrid orders just placed will not be filled this model year

They did send an email notifying about the unexpected high demand and that they would close the orders by "early to mid next week", so it seems they had some good idea a few days in advance, still they chose to wait until Tuesday for some reason.
  9. Dealer claims that 2023 Hybrid orders just placed will not be filled this model year

If that is true why would Ford wait until Tuesday to close hybrid orders ?
  10. Elephant in room: Around 80% of orders are Hybrids.

This make sense, otherwise why would Ford close retail EB orders just 1 day after hybrids if the ratio is something like 70/30 or 80/20 for Hybrids/EBs. Ford could have kept receiving EB orders for a few more days. Unless they're hoping they can convince a good chunk of customers to switch...
  11. Elephant in room: Around 80% of orders are Hybrids.

I arrived a few minutes after orders bank opened, was told that my order was the 6th or 7th(at this dealership of course), there were other people there at same time, but I knew exactly what I was going to order so my order got submitted pretty quickly and they gave me the preview order, it says...
  12. Elephant in room: Around 80% of orders are Hybrids.

Correct me if I'm wrong but AWD makes even more sense in 23 since EB is no charge and price for adding AWD is lower than it was for the 22
  13. Elephant in room: Around 80% of orders are Hybrids.

It doesn't look like the Maverick is depreciating much and Mavericks can also get taken good care of, we'll see how the 23 MY does, I would hope it has less recalls than the 22.
  14. Elephant in room: Around 80% of orders are Hybrids.

There is like a $6k-$7k difference in price though
  15. Elephant in room: Around 80% of orders are Hybrids.

I ordered an XLT hybrid with cp360, I think my order was #6 at my dealership which makes me hopeful that my order will be fulfilled, unless the dealership only gets enough allocations for rollovers.
  16. Hybrid shudder recall

I have thought about it, even asked my sales guy if it would be possible to switch my Hybrid order to EB FWD, but I think I'll stick with the hybrid. If shuddering or other issues arise, warranty should cover it, hybrid savings are worth it. On a second note, just watched this video of a hybrid...
